DSKDBI Colloquium
Introduction
Data science, knowledge
discovery and business intelligence
have emerged as three active, practical and closely related areas, which can
benefit deep data processing, data understanding, pattern analysis, and
business intelligence for broad domains and sectors. Data science gets data
ready and qualified for knowledge discovery and business intelligence, for
smart decision and smart businesses. Deeper and wider data processing and
analysis and integrating with business intelligence have disclosed both many
theoretical and practical issues and problems, in either applying the latest
knowledge and techniques or expecting new, efficient and actionable
knowledge, techniques and services in enterprise applications.
DSKDBI (Data Sciences,
Knowledge Discovery and Business Intelligence) Colloquium is a forum
organized by Data
Sciences & Knowledge Discovery Research Lab for key vendors, industry
players and academics in the areas of data quality, data analysis, data
engineering and data mining to share the core business problems, latest
solutions and technologies, as well as experiences and lessons in enterprise
data mining and analysis.

opportunities for practice-based innovation and development, in an
cross-disciplinary, cross-domain, and cross-country manner. An industry
registrant can put his/her business questions, expectations into our system.

help the industry person to understand how the problem can be solved, by what
techniques etc., a student is supervised by a senior experienced supervisor,
the student can bring the hard questions to the supervisor, for the
supervisor to meet the industry player to have a deeper discussion or even
