The International Workshop on Domain Driven Data Mining (DDDM) aims to provide a premier forum for sharing findings, knowledge, insight, experience and lessons in tackling potential challenges in discovering actionable knowledge from complex domain problems, promote the interaction of and fill the gap between data mining research and business expectations, and drive a paradigm shift from traditional data-centered hidden pattern mining to domain-driven actionable knowledge discovery.

The First International Workshop on Domain Driven Data Mining (DDDM 2007) was held in conjunction with ACM SIGKDD'07 in San Jose, California, USA on August 12, 2007. This year's workshop, DDDM 2008, will be organized by Data Sciences & Knowledge Discovery Research Lab, University of Technology, Sydney, Australia, in conjunction with the IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM'08) in Pisa, Italy, on December 15, 2008.
